The U11’s had planned to send our own team up, but ended up being very short on numbers and in the end only had 5 boys confirmed. Daniel, Jayden, Eloic, Ethan and Josh. However, with our super manager Kim at the helm we ended up managing to get 5 Centaur’s boys keen to join up and play in Dragon’s colours, as Centaur’s could not send a team.
As it turned out this was a great experience for all concerned. With 5 games on day 1 it took a while for the boys to gel. There was no doubt that there was commitment and we managed to draw our first game 12-all. We then lost the next 2 games against Tanglin and KL Tigers but we were competing well. With 2 games to go we finally clicked and started to play with confidence and with more cohesion. It was great to see all the boys coming together like this and playing well. We ended the day with 2 wins.
Day 2 After having a longer than expected wait we lost our first 2 games, not by much, but against well drilled opposition. The next 2 games came together and we had 2 big victories with all the lads really starting to play well and contribute. Confidence was up and we had made the Bowl final. Unfortunately, we lost 12 -7. But after 2 long days and 10 games there was no doubt that new friends had been made, as both sets of boys really gelled on and off the pitch, along with the parents. It is truly what our great game is about - comradery, passion and fun.
A huge thank you to our reserves. A few of the U10’s who played in the morning (and won the comp!) stayed on in the afternoon and endured 2 really long days. It was awesome club commitment from them and their parents for supporting us. Thank you!

"A huge effort from the Under 11s, probably the best match of their season (2017) to come away with the bowl against Tanglin Black. It wasn't without casualties. They played hard and they bought it home, well done boys, such proud parents and you did yourselves proud!" Kim Williams Team Manager
