Dragons Contact Rugby U8-U17

General

Contact rugby starts at U8s where all players are taught to tackle in a safe and nurturing environment. The players will be playing competitive games in both the JRCS league and in various tournaments in Singapore and overseas, age dependant. We encourage players of all skill levels to join Dragons, no matter which age group and they will be taught to play the game safely until they are ready to take part in competitions. It is very common for players to join with no prior rugby experience. The coaches will figure out their level of ability and work with them appropriately.

Players will gradually learn skills as they progress through the year groups e.g. Lifting in the line out will not occur until u13.
Mouthguards remain compulsory for both training and matches. Headgear is not compulsory but highly recommended.

Dragons fields very competitive sides acrosss all age groups for our more experienced players and have had much notable successes in both tournaments and JRCS league competition.
